Happy Birthday

My birthday was this weekend and I had a good time. I worked on a pair of socks for me and my DBF and I went downtown to enjoy the scenery and do a little shopping. My DBF is a bike enthusiast and he found a bike while we were there. He also bought me some knitting magazines and Sock Knitting book. How cool is that.

Mail Time

I've got mail. I love to get mail especially when it's knitting related. BF signed for the package and sent me a text message saying "Yarns here". I got some Noro in a pretty colorway and DENISE NEEDLES!!!!! I am so excited. I have been wanting a pair for a very looonnnngggg time. I thought they were so cool. My birthday is this weekend and my sister and niece are taking me to Buffalo Wild Wings Saturday and on Sunday my BF told me that I can go to a yarn store and pick out some fun things. I have been eyeing some Lantern Moon Dpns and maybe some Regia or Austerman Step for some fun sock knitting goodness. On the FO front I made myself a hat for these extra cold Chicago days. BBBBUUUURRRRR.........

Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable.

Second Pair Finished!

I just finished my second pair of socks. These will go to my Mom in Michigan. This is a basic sock pattern using Lion Brand Magic Stripes. I know she will like them. Unfortunately the socks are fraternal brothers. I couldn't get the stripes to match up.

First Post

This is my first post. I am a knitter in Chicago. I learned to knit from my friend. I have been knitting for a little over a year now and I am so hooked!!! Well enough abut me. I just finished making a couple of gifts for my sister. The first is a scarf that I made out of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in some left over yarn from another project and a pair of socks in Lion Brand Magic Stripes. She should be able to use the scarf today and for the rest of the weekend. It is only 5 degrees here today and it will be worst tomorrow. Unbelieveable!!! Neither me nor my BF have left the house today. Maybe I'll work on the Jaywalkers that I am making for myself.
