Harry Potter and OotP

I went to see Harry Potter last night at the Imax. I have so much fun. I took my niece. She had a good time. The last 20 minutes of the movie was in 3-D which was kinda fun. I haven't been to a 3-D movie in such a long time. But the movie was good and I can't wait for the final book.

we waited for the bus for over an hour, the bus was so crowded and it was moving so slowly we just got off and walked to Michigan Avenue.

Lazy Sundays

DBF and I went bike riding today. Here is DBF getting our bike ready for the road.

We stopped at the neighborhood breakfast stop. Valois.

Then we went to Art's Cycle for DBF to get his bike fix. (sort of like my fiber fixes)

Mason Dixon Maniac

I think that I am obesessed with the Mason Dixon Knitting book. I have only made 2 ballband dishcloths but I have at least three other projects I would like to knit. DBF thinks I am crazy. Oh yeah, I got a bookcase yesterday. I put it together myself. Everyone knows that with ready to assemble fruniture you should probably use wood adhesive so it will be more stable. Here is my bookcase.

Isn't it beautiful. I was so tired of all of my books being all over the place. I think it was money well spent. I just love Target.

No Photos Today

That's right, no photos, I haven't had a chance to download my photos yet. I haven't been posting like I should maybe because no one reads my blog. But I still enjoy posting and having a place to express myself. Well, last week DBF came home with a small wooden box that he got from one of the vendors that he works with. I was so surprised because I only mentioned to him once that I with I had something to put my knitting in. I am so unorganized because all of the yarn I have sits in a bag behind the closet door. So when DBF came in with the box I was so excited. I'll paint it and everything will be great! And my small stash will have a home. . Oh yea and about stash, I was uploading my yahoo photos to flickr and when I did a search for "yarn stash" I was floored. Some people have so much yarn!! I can only wish that I had that much yarn or that much money to buy yarn. How long does it take to get a stash that big? I looked over at my little box o' yarn with a frown. Where do they get so much yarn. I guess I am still kinda new to this. I am totally obsessed with knitting and fiber but I just don't have the room. Oh well I just be happy with my little box. I'll have pictures posted soon.

Lazy Sundays

Saturday was a good day. I went downtown to get my glasses repaired. and DBF also picked up a pair of senakers, and we walked around the park and did a little sight seeing. We went to Chipotle for burritos and took the bus home.

Our walk around the park was very nice. A new sculpture was done by a local artist. We haven't had a chance to see it until today. The legs are over 10 ft tall. I had a picture of me next to one of the legs, but the picture didn't come out so well.

I am also working on a new heel technigue for a pair of socks. The peasant heel. I am at the toe decreases and will start the heel soon. The different color yarn is scrap yarn the work as a place holder for the heel.

I used this tutorial for the peasant heel.
